It’s Good to be Different
While uniformity can bring order and a certain tranquil style to a room, when everything matches your home can stop feeling like a place of personal relaxation and develop a regimented, army-like feel. Including different finishes can have the same effect as using different colours in a room, brightening up the atmosphere and giving an original vibe.
Don’t Overdo It
The old saying says that ‘too many cooks spoil the broth’ – and this also rings true for your interior. Don’t Just Mix Metals
You can mix more than just metals, as colours and textures can be mixed stylishly and effectively – matte and gloss textures, particularly of the same colour, work excellently.
